Des Moines March 17 report notes Harry Dixson of Pella receives a patent for a Rol Screen latch as part of six Iowa patents issued last week. The smoke consumer device by John W Huston of Keokuk aims to cut winter soot by injecting compressed air into a furnace smoke chamber to burn coal smoke. Other patentees include Van J Ault Ft Dodge for an ice cream carrier Gerald D Gordon Marion for a motor heating and cooling system and Harold A McGowan Mason City for a crank case tool.
