Dykstra Family Remembers Hard Times and Harder Snow
In an old Iowa town memory piece Levi Dykstra and Grace Pannekoek recount farm life, a California Gold Rush trek, Indian encounters, and a harsh winter. The article links Dykstra clan history to recent injuries and school days, noting Grace Pannekoek’s severe burns and her recovery after moving from Otley to Pella. Arne Wielard and local figures share perspectives on language, work, and NRA impacts.
