Helen Kay Van Zee daughter of Arthur and Mrs Van Zee of Route 1 Pella wed Norman Jay De Jong son of Mr and Mrs G A De Jong of Route 1 Lynnville in a February 15 ceremony at First Christian Reformed Church with 120 guests. Rev De Kruyter officiated as Donna Vance was maid of honor and Eugene De Jong served as best man. The couple will live on a Route 2 farm in Pella.

Her top score in the knowledge and attitude test on home making taken Dec 5 makes her eligible for one of 102 scholarships totaling $110,000. Her paper will be entered in the national competition.

Open Bible pastors visit Home for Aged dedication
The Open Bible Church dedication draws Rev. and Mrs. Cye Collar, former pastors from Billings Montana, to the Home for the Aged along with friends of John Hasselman. Bert and Ethel celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary February 28 at the First Christian Reformed Church of Pella with about seventy relatives and friends. The program featured children and grandchildren, songs, readings, and a poem, with Clar ence Menning a and Sylvia Menninga performing. Guests later enjoyed refreshments at the Home of the Aged.
