Sweet Clover Seedings Permitted Under Corn Hog Contract
Sweet clover seedings may be planted on acres retired from corn under the corn hog contract signed by about 95 percent of eligible signers in Iowa. Seedings cannot be pastured during the contract but may be used after December 1, 1934 when released. Officials say the ruling does not prevent new seedings this year for post release use, as Hubam clover fed hogs and cattle could undermine the program's goals.
