Rev R R Brown of Omaha spoke at the twenty eighth annual John Fletcher Commencement at the college gym. Thirty one graduates received BA degrees, with two honorary degrees awarded to Rev Brown and Arthur Remmel. Howard Hyde and Bernice Van Buren earned summa cum laude, Magna laude went to Harold Morris George Muzzey Dorothea Sanderson and Clifford Swanson in a ceremony highlighting scholarship.
