House Conditions Govern Roup In Pullet Flocks
A poultry specialist warns damp, drafty crowded housing, not disease, triggers roup. To prevent and control, remove causes, ventilate without direct air on birds, insulate, use deep litter, and spray with 3 to 5 percent dip. Separate crowds, split flocks, or relocate birds to reduce spread and protect eating and laying areas.
