Public hearing on plans for Pella municipal electric plant
The City of Pella Iowa will hold a public hearing January 9 1962 at 7 30 am in City Hall council chambers to approve plans specifications and form of contract for improvements to the Municipal Electric Light Plant and to receive sealed bids. Divisions include tubular feed water heaters generating feedwater heater evaporator power transformers switchgear substation equipment cooling tower and related piping. Bids in duplicate must be filed with the City Clerk by the set time and bids will be opened publicly. A certified check of 5 percent of the bid is required and bids may be held for 45 days. The project is financed by Rural Electrification Administration funds and Iowa preference applies. The city may waive minor irregularities and reserves right to reject bids. Also notices for sewer bonds sale of 70 000 are listed with December 19 1961 bid deadline.
