Earl Ferguson, 36, of New Sharon route 3, broke his leg sliding into the plate during a softball game with Pella on the New Sharon diamond. He was taken to Mercy hospital in Oskaloosa shortly after the 10:30 p.m. accident and reported in good condition Saturday morning.

Ordinance Amends Rural Water Billing in Pella Iowa
Ordinance No 153 amends Ordinance No 151 by adding a clause for master meter billing. When multiple rural water users share a line billed to a master meter, all rural lines on that line are billed for the same minimums as the number of users. The ordinance becomes effective upon enactment.
