W C T U Meeting News From Community Church
The W C T U met at Community church on Monday afternoon with devotions led by Mrs Clarence Monsma. Mrs Walton Conover reviewed chapters from Where Prayer and Purpose Meet and a talk on the union's purpose and departments was given by Mrs O H Wisgerhof. Officers were elected: Wisgerhof president, Veldhuizen vice president, Monsma secretary, Rozendaal treasurer, Conover assistant secretary and treasurer. A tray lunch followed. Nearby items include visitors and wedding vows at First Reformed Church and slides of Europe and Macy Nebraska.

Janet Holstege Drowns at Lake Missaukee Michigan
Janet F Holstege 9 of Bellflower California drowned at Lake Missaukee Michigan on July 28 while vacationing with the Holstege family. Sister Marcia Gay 11 was rescued by Dr Ray Stevens of Grand Rapids after Janet disappeared in eight feet of water. The family had arrived a hour earlier from Hudsonville and California three years earlier. Burial followed July 31 at Blendon cemetery after services in South Blendon Reformed Church.
