On Wednesday July 27 the 13 Pella junior tennis players invaded Des Moines and lost the inter city clash 11 6. More than 40 locals swarmed Birdland Park courts as Janet Holmes selected new opponents for Pella. Without Ted Weirather and Bob Vander Linden Pella won four singles and two doubles matches in a long afternoon clinic that extended past 2 p.m.

Mrs. Andrew J. Molenaar of Grand Forks died July 18 1960 at Grand Forks North Dakota after living in Honeyford and Larimore areas. Survived by husband two sons Arnold and Clarence seven grandchildren and three brothers. Funeral July 21 at First Presbyterian Church Grand Forks. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Also Mrs Albert Dykstra of Monroe route 2 died July 21 at Collins Memorial hospital Knoxville. She leaves husband four children and six grandchildren. Funeral arrangements pending.
