Prices of Dairy Products Stable Despite Seasonal Decline
Agricultural economist Eran Kutish of Iowa State College says dairy prices will stay higher than a year ago through mid year with only modest seasonal dips. Wholesale butter and fluid milk prices show gains versus February last year, while production remains below last year due to weather and fewer cows. Milk output in early 1947-48 is expected to be lower than prior months, easing the year’s supply.
