Mr. Moody of Chanute Kansas named by the Pall Corn Council to replace Elmer Og ern as Assistant Scout Executive. He will report April 15 and comes from Sedan Area Council with HQ at Independence Kansas. Moody holds degrees from Kansas State College and Stanford, has 15 years in Scouting, is a Life Scout with the Scoutmasters Key and Silver Beaver, is married with two children and will move to Des Moines after the term.

Red Clover Price Rises as Supply Dwindles 1947 Market
Red clover seed costs farmers more this year with supplies smaller and prices about 17 percent above last year. Iowa State College economist Francis Kutish notes red clover now costs more than alfalfa for the first time since 1937. USDA reports 16 of 24 seeds are higher while eight are lower. Kentucky bluegrass shows the sharpest drop, prices about 60 percent under last year’s peak.
