Knoxville Man Uses Bees For Clover Seed Set
A Knoxville man, W. O. Goebel, introduced 50 three pound packages of Italian S-band honey bees to aid clover seed production. The bees, moved to the immediate Knoxville area, are valued for fertilizing clover blooms, boosting potential seed yields and honey production. Bees can forage about a mile and a half from fields as they spread pollen.
