Ordinance Amends Zoning Rules For Side And Rear Yards
Pella Iowa council adopts changes to Section 6.E of the Zoning Ordinance. The amendment allows narrowed side yards on corner lots and within remodeling of churches and schools, with safeguards for safety light air and property values. The new rear yard rule permits narrowing adjacent to streets for the same categories under design and operation safeguards. Jacob Stursma expected to be dismissed from Mahaska Hospital Monday. Sergeant John Blom, son of Mr and Mrs Tunis Blom, will have a birthday April 24 while stationed in Germany. Mr and Mrs Richard Van Kooten and daughters visited Edgerton Minnesota. David Van Kooten stayed with grandparents in Pella. Gerrit D. De Jong admitted to Pella hospital after muscle spasms.
