Reeves County produced 2,293,575 barrels of crude oil valued at 7,568,797 and 182,286,755 thousand cubic feet of natural gas worth 26,613,866 in 1970. The county earned 4,272,833 in royalty payments and paid 348,165 in crude oil taxes and 1,996,040 in gas taxes. Drilling totaled 8,114 wells with 11 oil wells, 18 gas wells, 11 dry holes.
