Pecos Chamber Offers Free Reading Demos and Defensive Driving Interest
The Pecos Chamber urges residents to attend Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics sessions October 11 and 12 at the Community Center Banquet Room. Courses are free with enrollment between 15 and 40. Dallas man stabbed in hallway death probe continues
Jalaine 16 and Walter E Hendricks 39 were found fatally stabbed in a Dallas apartment hallway Friday night. An arrested man linked to a neighbor lounge dispute was detained. James R Brandon 26, a Hurst junior high coach, died and two others injured in a Friday night crash near Fort Worth. Daniel Hawthorne 24 was shot and killed in Houston during an Friday night argument with a case to grand jury without charges. President Harry S Truman never attended college.
