Weekend death toll in Texas hits 32 with 24 in crashes
The Associated Press counts 32 deaths over Texas third weekend in September including five Fort Worth area fatalities in three Separate crashes. Victims include Robert L. Evelyn Slack Mahoney aged 65 of Pecos was found dead at 601 Oleander St by a neighbor. She had lived in Pecos most of her life, survived by brother Clay Slack and nephew Rep. Dick Slack. Graveside rites planned at Evergreen Cemetery. Bebe the poodle was her companion. She was a former real estate owner, BPW member, active in school and museum boards, Episcopalian.

Mrs Camp Dies After Heart Attack At Church
Mrs Jo W Gladys Camp 74 died after an apparent heart attack during morning services at the First Christian Church. Funeral 4 p m tomorrow at the church with Rev Clark Ford officiating, burial in Fairview Cemetery. Born Fort Stockton March 30 1897 she lived here all her life. Survived by daughter Barbara Munos Albuquerque New Mexico granddaughter Lisa Albuquerque New Mexico and brother Chester Parke Fort Stockton. Her husband died February 8 1966 and a son Billy Jo died earlier. She was a member of the Merry Wives Club and the First Christian Church.
