Macon Passes Pecos Aerial Giant Overhead
The Macon, sister ship to the Akron, floated over Pecos at about 2500 feet last Saturday morning en route to the Pacific Coast. Delayed by a storm, the dirigible's motors purred as lights revealed its full length and modern equipment including a compartment for five pursuit planes. Few Pecos residents saw it, but early risers were rewarded with a glimpse of the great craft.

Mercer Dies in Pecos After Lingering Illness
R. R. Mercer about 50, a Pecos resident for several months, died Tuesday after a lingering illness. He was buried here Wednesday under the aus of Kolar funeral home. A wife and children in Abilene survive.
