Balmorhea Easter activities and community events noted
School children hunted Easter eggs in Balmorhea with first to third graders joining in yard hunts. Events included Miss Tissie Ann Elliott's party and kindergarten activities. The Catholic Women’s Club sponsors an April 1 Bingo with a $330 jackpot and an Easter dance April 2. An Easter Bunny impersonator appeared in pink fur. Balmorhea High School tennis team members are named. Historical notes include the 1946 Japanese constitution drafting and Lyndon Johnson’s 1968 defense secretary nomination of Clark Clifford.
