A Friday night Newspaper Bingo event in Pecos will run downtown at 6 15 p m with cash prizes and merchandise certificates for winners. Firework plant explosion kills six in Bridgewater
Six workers died and 11 injured as a chain reaction of explosions and fire ripped through Interstate Pyrotechnics Corp in Bridgewater Massachusetts. Those registering by March 1 can vote in Saturday's city and school trustee elections. United Fund agencies to receive partial April disbursements

Search intensifies for downed private plane
The Pecos Civil Air Patrol unit led an expanded air search for a missing private plane since Tuesday on a Hobbs New Mexico to Midland Texas route. Commander Charles Gann said search resumed at 7:30 am with unclear aircraft numbers and false leads from Wednesday weather hampering efforts.
