Pecos Elementary Principal Jack LeCroy to Retire After 26 Years
Jack G. LeCroy, Pecos Elementary principal for 16 years, resigns to retire in June after a long teaching career beginning as a Bonham high school football coach. He came to Pecos in 1946, oversaw growth to about 440 students, and plans to return to his Bonham stock farm with wife Louise. He recalls coaching under Sid Gilman and Tom Tipps and notes former students Roy McMillan and Bill Sovoda achieved sporting fame. A Little League meeting is set for March 13 to recruit coaches and helpers for summer leagues.
