Dr Magee Recovering After Shoulder Operation
Word from Chicago states Dr. C J Magee is recovering well after an operation on June 15. Dr Kruescher, a leading bone specialist, performed the shoulder procedure. He is expected to leave the hospital next Thursday and plans to return to Pecos in about three weeks.

First Shipment Of Cantaloupes For Year

Tiny Babies Doing Nicely At Pecos Sanatorium
Two newborn twins weighing a combined seven pounds were born at Pecos Sanatorium. Mother Mrs Louis Patillo of Grandfalls and a Pecos Mexican woman raised the babies. The first weighed three pounds eight ounces the second two pounds fourteen ounces. Dr O J Bryan said both babies were gaining weight rapidly and doing nicely.

Dances Abound in Pecos for 4th Celebrations
Pecos offers multiple dance options during the 4th of July period. Jack Free and his eight piece orchestra play at the Oasis Ballroom Saturday Monday and Tuesday nights. Dancing will also occur at the Silver Dollar and Barn Night Clubs all three nights. Old-time pioneer dances appear Monday and Tuesday at the Legion Hall with the Old-Timers Fiddling Band providing music.
