Money really filthy lucre carries bacteria
Louisville doctors Abrams and Waterman report money harbors disease producing bacteria. In a 150 coins and 50 bills test, pennies and nickels showed higher pathogen rates than dimes and quarters, with paper money more contaminated than coins.
