Collision during game injures two Little Leaguers
In Jim Sample Park during a Little League game between the Sports and the Cats two ten year olds Shayne Brantley and Tommy Kilcrease collided head to head in right center field. Shayne suffered a seven stitch cheek cut and Tommy a nose bleed with a minor concussion. Both were taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital. The Cats won.

North Vietnam rail yard and bridge destroyed near Lang Son
U S Air Force jets damaged a major North Vietnamese rail yard and a highway bridge within 25 miles of the Chinese border. Soldier dies after 53 hour Belfast battle
BELFAST AP Soldiers and militiamen faced a three hour dark assault as violence rose in Catholic districts. The death toll rose to 365 in three years with 150 this year and more than 200 shots fired around the New Lodge area.
