Humble Oil & Refining Co. plans No 1 2 Howe Gas Unit as a 16,000 foot Ellenburger wildcat in Ward County, following a previous discovery yielding 148 million cubic feet per day. Delaware oil production resumes in Ward County with Getty Oil Co. No 1 16 University, pumping 3.9 barrels of oil per day and 1.3 barrels of water from 4,988 to 5,002 feet.
