Injured Pecos Boy Improves in Odessa Hospital
Eight year old Joe Ray Nunez, son of Mr and Mrs Joe Nunez of 612 East Fourth Street Pecos, was listed improving after a December 7 hit and run. He suffered skull fracture, broken ribs, partial paralysis of his left arm and crossed eyes. His release date is uncertain. Maria Ortega Pequino of 612 South Lee Odessa was charged with leaving the scene and released on $5,000 bond. The case goes to Reeves County Grand Jury at the next regular session.
