Balmorhea City Approves Water Tower repairs

Auto crash injures 2 residents
Two Pecos residents were injured in a two car collision at Sixth and Alberta Streets about 7 30 p m Wednesday. Carolyn P Williams 33 1744 Washington St remained in satisfactory condition at Memorial Hospital with back injuries while James M Wilson 17 2018 Jackson St was treated for minor injuries and released. Witnesses said the Wilson car eastbound on Sixth struck the Williams car southbound on Alberta and the Williams vehicle left the scene. Police charged Williams with failing to yield the right of way and leaving the scene of an accident.

Inmates Seize Yardville Prison Wing in NJ Riot
About 106 inmates at Yardville Correction Center seized a wing and released one hostage while the other hostage's release was tied to a radio statement. Two hostages, Richard Seidl and Ira Friedman, were uninjured as 50 state troopers and officers guarded the prison.
