Ben Colwell took a business trip to El Paso on Monday and returned to work at City Pharmacy on Wednesday. Mrs. Norman Scott has moved from Camp sanitarium to her parents’ home and is recovering well from an appendicitis operation.
Mrs. Ella Berta King 65 sister of Mrs. Monroe Kerr of Pecos died after a months long illness in Midland last Saturday. She lived in West Texas for nearly 50 years and resided in Pecos two decades ago and in Big Spring for 20 years. Funeral services were held Saturday in Midland with the Methodist pastor officiating. Pecos attendees included Mr and Mrs Monroe Kerr and Mr and Mrs William Kerr and Mr and Mrs Charles Miller and family of Barstow. The Enterprise extends condolences to the bereaved family.
Constance Cummings stars in 20th Century Pictures release Broadway Thru a Keyhole at the Grand Theatre Sunday and Monday. Russ Columbo proves he can act as well as sing and rivals Paul Nelly for Constance Cummings affection. Also featured are Eddie Foy Jr Blossom Seeley Texas Guinan Abe Lyman Frances Williams Gregory Ratoff and others in a lively musical comedy from United Artists.
WR McCullough of Ranger visits with daughters Miss Bernice McCullough and Mrs John Ivy. Peggy Glover of McCain ey had tonsils removed last Friday at Camp and Camp hospital and is recovering at grandmother Mrs J L Morrison Co Jones Silk Dry Goods Co returns from Thanksgiving trip to Abilene. Miss Sybil Bowie, teaching at Clint, home for Thanksgiving holidays.
Mr and Mrs R L Toll spent the past week end in El Vaso on business. Miss Edna Poe a Fort Stockton teacher visited home for Thanksgiving with Mr and Mrs W Ez Poer. Miss Janie Joe Duncan of Toyah shopped in Pecos Monday. Joss Otto is convalescing at Camp sanitarium after an appendicitis operation last week. W W Sample Red Bluff Filling Station owner is out of town on business at Spur Texas returning mid next week.
Mr and Mrs Clarence Harpe and their son from El Paso spent the holidays with Mrs EE L Colings and family. Mr Harper serves as district clerk at El Paso.
