Skeleton body found near Pecos with bullet wound
Workers found a skull and a limb shoe with steel arch at Screwbean Draw north of Pecos between the Santa Fe railroad and Hwy 285. The remains were moved to Carlsbad then Pecos. Deputy John Lewis will take them to Austin lab for dating and size estimates. Police activity for July noted 14 457 miles patrolled 775 calls 60 offenses 118 traffic citations and various escorts and services.

Customs seize heroin in large Dallas arrest case
Customs officers confiscated an estimated 775000 worth heroin on the underworld drug market with the arrest of two men.
