Pine dump station winter schedule and public hearing notice
The Pine dump station begins its winter schedule this week closing Tuesdays and Wednesdays and opening 9 a.m. to 3 45 p.m. through April 15. A public hearing at Pine School on Nov 26 at 4 30 p.m. will seek opinion on a statewide study of school district reorganizing and redistricting. A nine member Gila County committee will hear responses. A gardening club meeting is set for Dec 10 at 7 30 p.m. at the Rowes. Brimhalls Fine Arts and Crafts, run by Jesse Brimhall and Chuck Brush, gains national recognition for metal sculpture including a 17 piece frog commission and a 6 1/2 foot tall animated ostrich sold for 1700. They are building a marble fountain crag and a stag ravine sculpture slated to fetch 1200.
