Utility seeks 18.4 percent rate hike to fund 1975 service needs
The company explains plans to increase electric and gas rates by about 18.4 percent for the test year ended June 30, 1974. It expected a November 25 hearing but the Arizona Corporation Commission lacks funds for experts until Legislature provides money. The company says new rates could not start before 1976 and $275 million more financing is needed by end of 1975 to maintain adequate service.
