Burglars Hit Frontier Drugstore Steal Drugs and Cash
The Frontier Drugstore in Frontier Market was robbed late Monday night or early Tuesday, with $4,500 in cash and drugs taken from the prescription area. Intruders cut into the attic via roof ductwork and disrupted ceiling tiles to access narcotics including Carbrital, an addictive pentobarbital. Deputies note several clues left at the scene and ongoing investigation.

DPS Warns Litter Laws Will Be Enforced On Highway 260

Graduation plans span Payson area schools next week
Graduation schedules are set for Payson Pine and Tonto Basin schools. Forty seven Payson high seniors will receive diplomas May 30 at 8 p.m. in the high school gym with Rev Donovan addressing and Jerri Stafford salut ing. Baccalaureate is May 25 at 8 p.m. with speakers from church and Bishop Welker. Ninety eighth graders graduate May 29 with diplomas presented by Nolan Blake and Joann Jones. Ten Pine Elementary students graduate tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the LDS Cultural Hall with Howard Pyle as main speaker. Tonto Basin honors four seniors May 23 at 8 p.m. Mayor Ted Pettet speaks. The Payson Rodeo Association Rodeo runs May 24–26 starting at 2 p.m. Entries accepted by Pearl Willis at 687-1418.

Fire destroys mobile home in Payson blaze
A mobile home belonging to Helen Camp on Tonto and Bonita Streets burned Friday with four minutes to full involvement. A small adjacent cabin was damaged. furnishings were saved. The cause was under investigation. Community volunteers from the fire department and local workers witnessed the incident.
