Saint Philips Church schedules Holy Week observances with Mass at 5 30 today and a Paschal Potluck at 6 30. Good Friday service at 3, Blessing of the New Fire and Easter rituals Saturday, Easter Vigil at 7 30, and three Easter Masses Sunday.
Richard Robertson and Faye Cruice report on reapportioned Second and Fourth Legislative Districts in Central and Northeastern Arizona. The changes affect Maricopa Gila Yavapai Coconino Apache and Navajo Counties with Payson moved to District Two and Northern Gila County gaining representation. The 1972 Navajo lawsuit prompted a Federal Court map approval in 1974 to take effect in 1976.
The Payson Junior Woman's Club presents an annual Variety Show at Payson Junior High School gym tonight and tomorrow at 7 30. Admission is 1 50 for adults 75 cents for high school students and 50 cents for children 12 and under. Proceeds fund student scholarships.

The Elk’s Easter Egg Hunt will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Highway 87 north of Payson North. The event is open to all community children with 700 eggs hidden and prizes for top egg finders in age groups. Hot dogs and soda are provided by the Elks.
