Pine School Board Announces New Faculty for Next Year

Rhea Randall names the elementary staff led by Andrea Bishop first and second graders and Sue Hunt third and fourth. Martin Bielefeldt, from Heber, will teach fifth and sixth. Mary Lou Myers, with a master’s, heads seventh and eighth grades and directs the business program at Tempe High. The Homemakers sponsor an ice cream social and auction to benefit Isabelle Hunt Memorial Public Library.

Industrial Rodeo Set At Payson Arena August 3 4

The annual Industrial Rodeo will be held August 3 and 4 at the Payson Rodeo Arena. Local participants within 30 miles are invited to compete with events including goat tying barrel racing pole bending calf riding junior senior team roping mixed roping open roping and rib bon roping. A $28 three steer team roping contest is planned Saturday afternoon and entry closes at noon Saturday with signups at the rodeo grounds. Local IRA chair Lynn Cherry notes fresh horned cattle will be used and the event begins 1 p m Saturday and 11 a m Sunday.
