Fire at 115 E. Phoenix in a single wide trailer blamed on a faulty kitchen junction box. The blaze confined to the kitchen with smoke and heat damaging contents elsewhere. Fire Chief Charles Jacobs said three engines and eighteen men responded after Mrs. Bud Haack alerted the department.

He pleaded guilty before Justice Ezra Peace and was fined 132 dollars. Lawrence Oliver Baker 34 of Claypool was arrested Saturday by Gila County deputies for disturbing the peace and pleaded guilty before Justice Ezra Peace receiving a 60 day suspended sentence and a 33 dollar fine.
