Pine Elementary preps for fall term with meetings and events
Teachers collect for opening. registration for new and kindergarten students runs 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Classes start Monday. Rhea Randall resigns from the school board and becomes a teacher’s aide with Judy Sturm. Students help clean grounds, with Hamburgers sent by Dick Turner. Library hours set, needs more books. Local residents and staff engage in community activities including a Chamber barbecue with music, dancing, and a Blue Grass group.
