Ice house inspector Orcutt tours Pacific Fruit Express plants

H B Orcutt of Pacific Fruit Express Co leaves on a trip of inspection through icing plants from here to Portland and Seattle to ensure repairs and readiness for the coming fruit crop. He plans to visit about 26 stations, return in two weeks for a business appointment at Nampa, then head east to Green River Wyoming to oversee ice crop gathering. The company plans a large artificial ice and cold storage plant at Nampa, hoping Payette business interest would have lured the project there.

Petty Burglary Reported After North Pence Street Break In

Miss M L Ecclestone found her tent house ransacked last Saturday with items missing including an Indian blanket and knives from a second hand store. Entry was via a pried window. Thieves used matches instead of lights and left after lunching on honey. Police note the separate rear door break in at the second hand store the same night.

Thirty five acres are already prepared with trees on the ground and workers to plant the remaining stock as fast as possible. P Stamey sells 2 1/2 acre Sparks ranch area to Dean Bd Powell for 8000 dollars. Stamey bought Powell property from E J Powell, his city home on east Ady avenue. The Portia club meets November 28 at Commercial club rooms with Ramon reading on the Educational Influence of Music in Public Schools and inviting all Payette ladies.

Property Deals Signal Active Land Market This Week

R. B. Fitch notes several large property sales over the past week. R. A. Crump sold his ranch near New Plymouth to A. W. Conover for 40 acres with apple trees and a three year old orchard, totaling 20000 dollars. Crump also bought city property for 9600 dollars, including the Conover home at Pence and Mil, plus the L. B. Coole house on West College Street. H. C. Currin sold 420 acres on Little Willow Creek to H. A. Crimp for 430000 dollars. These deals were handled by the real estate firm Wells & Maule. The Christian Church notes cover services, training, and a union Thanksgiving event. A new pipeline project emerges as the North 4 Payette Irrigation Co. directs system changes. R. F. Chapin returns from Colorado with his bride en route to Portland.
