Tragic Wreck On Short Line Causes Multiple Deaths
A Wednesday morning wreck on the Short Line near Crystal ich caused the deaths of head brakeman and fireman with others injured. Engineer Selstead survived a severe concussion, while passengers and a family traveling with Chas Piers escaped unharmed. Coroner from Washington county handled the bodies at Weiser after recovery and removal.

A Tuesday morning in the depot area saw a complete train load of Payette valley apples assembled, forty two refrigerator cars hauled by a special Huntington engine. About half the cars were bound for Denney & Co with many cars assigned to Gibson Fruit Co Chicamo. others went to OKC and New York. Banners on the train promoted Payette valley apples as a regional advertisement. This November 16 1910 marks the first full train shipment from Payette, signaling more to come.
