Payette plans two June 25 performances by Sangers Greater European Shows, the Great Sanger Circus returning to Idaho for the first time in eight years. Last Thursday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs Albert White on First Ave South a reception was staged by the Red Crows reception committee for Payette County soldiers and their wives or relatives. Attendee count reached 112 invitations with most accepting. Attorney John H Norris delivered welcome, General L V Patel spoke in reply, and a program featured Natoma Parsons solo Rose in No Man s Land Prof Neilson and Mrs Bastman and Mrs Rueggeberg provided musical numbers Mr White demonstrated wartime singing ability Mrs L E Peterson accompanied on the piano. Refreshments followed.

The obituary honors her devout faith, kindness, and desire to live for the kingdom of God, noting she helped shape her household in righteousness. Funeral services were brief and simple per her request, roses decorating the casket and burial mound. The family, including four children, mourns her loss as they approach their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Lost-a small black pig found by Shorty Farson the dray man.

Mrs. John McClure narrowly escaped severe injury when a large ball belonging to Mr. McClure charged from the herd near Frestland. The cow forcefully knocked her down, tore her dress, and bloodied her face before a nearby hired man intervened and saved her from possible death.
