Reservoir Fence Burned In Rapid Fire Incident
Sunday evening about six o'clock a fire started from a disposed match along the canal road near the Albee residence. J S Albee, his daughter Leona, and Margarite Payton fought the blaze with a wet sack as wind carried flames across dry grass and the city reserve fence. Reaching the high board barrier, the fire spread over the hills toward the ditch before being contained by arriving help.

Arthur Ficke Wounded in Action News from July 15
