Idaho Mines Surpass 1910 Output Across Key Metals
Idaho's 1911 mine output of gold silver copper lead and zinc rose to 19.1 million dollars, up 2.74 million from 1910. Shoshone County led with 16.31 million in value, gold rose by 275 thousand, silver climbed to 4.24 million, copper fell, and lead and zinc reached new highs. A total of 374 mines operated in 1911 with 2.17 million tons processed, average value per ton eight dollars sixty-one.
