City council authorizes J H Wilson to sink a prospect well near the future power plant site as a first step toward a reliable city water supply. The plan envisions multiple wells, possible filtration, and a future municipal power plant with the festival and public library noted in the broader civic context.
The Regal Buzz Saw will visit Payette on Saturday August 17 and be shown in the John W. Bur shoe store window. A circulating saw demonstration will run at 4 PM and again in the evening as part of a long running Regal Stores display across major cities.
An August 20 excursion from Payette to Montour Idaho opens up the Long Valley area as part of the Idaho Northern extension.
