The Baker City paper reports Capt. William R. Parker of UMC Co and Remington Fire Arms marries Miss Mattie McCullough of Payette Idaho at Welger Idaho. The couple plans a Baker City reception then bridal trip to Eagle mountains for a honeymoon before returning.
The July Union Pacific Oregon Short Line bulletin presents Idaho's vast resources and rapid growth. It cites 5.96 million acres, with 21 million agricultural, 20 million timber, 7.96 million range, and 5 million mineral lands, plus irrigation, crops, livestock, fruit, wool, and mining as drivers of development and population expansion.
