Young Man Accidentally Fires Rifle Wounding Calf

Trout Plant Moves to Big Willow Creek Stream
On Monday morning fifteen crates with twenty five thousand young trout arrived at Payette in charge of H H Rankin from the Hay Spur hatchery. The trout are for B A Cramp and will be released in Big Willow Creek to restore a prime local fishing spot praised for water and habitat historically.

Death of George L. Avey in Paget on April 19 1912
George L. Avey died at his son’s Paget home after a short illness from erysipelas aged 82. Born March 12 1830 in Maryland he moved to Ohio and fought with the Union in the Civil War then to Iowa and California. He became blind about 27 years ago but retained guidance by sound and a cane, with his son OH Asey caring for him. He leaves two sons and two daughters living in Southern California.
