Mysterious inmate dies in hotel fire after jail stay
An unidentified man jailed by Star shal Feldscher at the Gilson hotel was burned to death when a fire swept the building about 4 a.m. Coroner Lang's inquest found death by suffocation. The body, burned and unrecognizable, was found inside the bedroom doorway wrapped in a quilt. The origin of the fire appeared to be inside the room near the door.
