A new Payette firm, the Payette Pen Company, formed by local men including A P Scritchfield and Will Wells, plans to manufacture the Never Leak fountain pen. Machinery ordered, operation expected within six weeks, with four to five salesmen and a broad advertising push. The 10 founders include bankers, ranchers, a fur dealer, a real estate man, and others, led by Will Wells as president and A Seritchfield as manager.
