Highway Patrolman William Vogt Injured in Crash Near Junction
William Vogt of Centralia, newly appointed patrolman, was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a Ford coupe just north of the I C R R viaduct between Junction and Sandoval. He was rushed to Centralia Hospital in serious condition with cuts from glass and a concussion-like impact. Neal Smith helped at the scene before Vogt's hospitalization. Vogt is well known in Centralia for past police work and has many friends along the route.
