County beer license required for Marion County sellers
County officials inform Marion County beer sellers outside city limits must obtain a county license by May 20. The license, issued before the state license, costs 36 dollars for bottle beer or 48 dollars for both bottle and draft beer. Sandoval Bank Robbers Captured in St Louis
The Sandoval Bank robbers, already jailed previously in Salem and at large for weeks, were arrested in St Louis last Thursday and held with two others in Chicago on another charge. States Attorney Ward Holt plans to bring them to Marion County for trial on the bank case, though Chicago authorities denied the move on Tuesday.

Funeral services for Henry Hall held at Sandoval
Several local members attended the funeral of the late Henry Hall at Sandoval on Tuesday evening. Hall died May 7 at age about ninety one after a long county life as sheriff and treasurer and noted Democrat and fraternal leader. The Masonic lodge led the ceremony at Sandoval church after an accident in East Lawn Cemetery delayed burial until Wednesday. Rev Lovell, Rev Fannon and Rev Rosborough assisted.

Last Friday night the annual Junior Banquet was held in the gymnasium with about fifty attendees. The Sophomores hosted the event in honor of the Juniors, featuring a red and white decor and a dinner by the Methodist Episcopal Church Ladies.
