Village Board Adopts 7200 Dollar Appropriation Ordinance
The village board approved the annual appropriation ordinance for May 1 1956 to May 1 1957 totaling 7200 dollars. A motor fuel tax resolution of about 4200 dollars for streets was also adopted. Bills totaling roughly 948 dollars were approved. Trustee Martin announced trash pickup on Tuesday June 12. Lions Club members attended post meeting.

World begins in My Community lesson at Methodist W S C S
Mrs Charles Jordan led the W S C S meeting at the Methodist church last Thursday afternoon. The lesson titled The World beginning in My Community stressed stewardship and expanding fellowship through local projects. Assisted by Mrs Kay Jenning and Mrs S M Spurgeon, with Mrs John Layton at the organ. next meeting July 5 features a silent auction meal. Flowers were shared with ill friends. 25 members were served strawberries cake and whipped cream.
