Mrs Clem Doolen and Mrs Hazel M Cox attended the funeral of Mrs C Williams at Salem Sunday afternoon. Mrs Williams active in Eastern Star and Rebekah circles. Barn Destroyed by Fire on John Oye Farm

Last Monday night the barn on the John Oye farm west of town burned around 3 o'clock. The cause is unknown. Mr Dwight Ballance and family lost their crops of hay and grains and one cow. Neighbors brought hay grain and a collection of currenty the following day and helped erect a shed.

Injuries Fatal to Bobby Buck

Bobby Buck a 15 month old son of Mr and Mrs W T Buck of Centralia formerly of Patoka died at home Sunday night from burns received a week earlier in a gasoline explosion. Funeral services were held at the Roy T Baldridge Memorial Home with Rev G E Whitten officiating.
